Melitron Celebrates 20 Years of Manufacturing Excellence

Melitron Corporation, a leading manufacturer of custom metal enclosures and electro-mechanical assemblies, today announced the 20th anniversary of the Company’s business operations.

Mike Turner, President and CEO at Melitron, cites the company’s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement, customer focus, attention to detail and investment in the best people and technology as the formula for Melitron’s success since their beginnings.

Ted Turner founded the company as Millennium Manufacturing in 1995 to meet a demand for high quality fabricated sheet metal components for the consumer appliance market. The company enjoyed early success in forming strong relationships with leading OEMs but soon recognized a shift offshore in the manufacturing and assembly of these products. In response, the company began expanding their capabilities to support more complex products aimed at technology markets.

“We’ve come a very long way since the early days of producing simple sheet metal components for the consumer appliance market,” explains Mike Turner who officially took the helm from his father Ted in 2011. “Today, Melitron produces complex metal enclosures and provides complete electro-mechanical systems for global OEMs.”

Melitron now serves a diverse customer base from an Engineering, Development and Manufacturing campus in Guelph ON. “Our Advanced Manufacturing site offers the latest in precision sheet metal fabrication and finishing technologies while our Complex Enclosure Systems and Assembly site provides complete turnkey systems for OEMs looking for a single source solution for the manufacture of their electrical and electronic products,” Turner says.

Turner adds: “While we need to take a moment and reflect on our accomplishments to date, looking forward, it’s an exciting time. Our Management Team has positioned the company for exceptional growth and development over the coming years.”
